The University of Melbourne has partnered with Shoolini University in Himachal Pradesh to allow Indian students to pursue their studies in both India and Australia. The collaboration opens up opportunities for students to experience the academic offerings and resources of both institutions and gain a unique educational experience.

Under the Bachelor of Science Advanced (Honours) dual degree program, offered under the partnership, Indian students will be able to pursue their studies in a diverse range of multidisciplinary majors. According to a release, the students will spend the first two years at Shoolini University in India, and continue their education for the remaining two years at the University of Melbourne.

Eligible students will also have the opportunity to pursue a Master of Science at the University of Melbourne. Additionally, students who complete their studies in Australia, and meet the criteria set by the Australian government will have the option to apply for post-study work rights.

“We have some of the best undergraduate students in India and this partnership will increase their opportunities to study internationally, while our partnership with the University of Melbourne demonstrates that Shoolini University is a university of world standards,” said professor Khosla, vice chancellor of Shoolini University.

Shoolini University holds the distinction of being India's top-ranked private university and the second-ranked university overall in the country, as per the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. The University of Melbourne is ranked number one in Australia and 34th worldwide.
