Sanjiv Kapoor to join Jeddah-based Saudia airline

Kapoor has over 20 years of experience in the airline industry, having worked with airlines in Asia, Europe, and the US as a part of management, as a consultant, and as an investment advisor.

Aviation industry veteran Sanjiv Kapoor has joined Jeddah-based Saudia airline as an advisor to its Director General Ibrahim Al-Omar after stepping down as the Chief Executive Officer-designate of Jet Airways.

Sharing the news, Kapoor tweeted, “I am thrilled to share that I have joined the Saudia Group as an advisor to Ibrahim Al-Omar, director general of the group. I am excited at the opportunity of working with a highly passionate and talented team and being part of what promises to be an exciting journey ahead.”

Kapoor has over 20 years of experience in the airline industry, having worked with airlines in Asia, Europe, and the US as a part of management, as a consultant, and as an investment advisor.

“Sanjiv joined us in April 2022 to spearhead the revival of Jet Airways and drove the business and launch plan as we prepared to restart the commercial operations of Jet Airways. Jalan Kalrock Consortium (JKC) is grateful to Sanjiv for his contribution to the launch plans of Jet Airways during his time with us and we wish him the very best for his future endeavours,” said Ankit Jalan, board member of JKC, the group that owns Jet Airways, announcing his exit on April 28.
