Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Ambati Rayudu announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL), and added that the final of the 2023 edition against Gujarat Titans was his last match.

Sharing an emotional note on Twitter following CSK's victory in IPL 2023, marking Rayudu's sixth victory in the league, Rayudu said, "I still remember the day I received my India cap for the first time in 2013 - it is a memory I will cherish forever,"  Rayudu wrote.

The Indian cricketer from Hyderabad has been part of the CSK since 2018 winning two titles with the franchise. Last season, when CSK finished 9th in the table, Rayudu postponed his retirement decision and continued to represent the side.

Rayudu mentioned that he was associated with two teams in his IPL career, played 204 matches in all, 11 playoffs, 8 finals, and 5 trophies in all. In 2018, he accumulated 602 runs for CSK.
