UK shelter that housed Indian nannies in the 90’s gets London Blue Plaque
The shelter is now called “ The Ayah’s Home” as the word Ayah refers to women who were employed by the British in India and other colonies to serve as children’s nannies, nursemaids and ladies’ maids.
