Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit France and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from July 12-15, 2023, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a statement. The Prime Minister will visit Paris on July 13 and 14 at the invitation of Emmanuel Macron, President of France, during which he will be the Guest of Honour at the Bastille Day Parade, where a Indian tri-services contingent will be participating.

In Paris, Modi will hold bilateral talks with President Macron, and attend a State Banquet as well as a private dinner hosted by the him. The PM also will meet France's Prime Minister and the presidents of the Senate and the National Assembly of France. He is expected to interact with the Indian diaspora in France, CEOs of Indian and French companies and other personalities during his visit.

Marking the 25th anniversary of the India-France Strategic Partnership, PM Modi's visit will "provide an opportunity to chart the course of the partnership for the future across diverse sectors such as strategic, cultural, scientific, academic and economic cooperation," MEA said in its statement.

The Prime Minister will then head to Abu Dhabi, UAE, on July 15, 2023, where he will hold talks with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. The Ministry of External Affairs observed that the India-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership has been growing steadily. It further said that the Prime Minister's visit will be an opportunity to strengthen various domains such as energy, education, healthcare, food security, fintech, defence and culture.

According to the Ministry, the visit will set the stage to discuss cooperation on global issues, specifically in the context of UAE’s Presidency of COP-28 of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and India’s G-20 Presidency in which UAE is a special invitee.
