PM Modi interacts with world leaders

The Prime Minister held bilateral level talks with several heads of state on the sidelines of the G7 Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 20 held bilateral meetings with the Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida, the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, the President of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the Prime Minister of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh, on the sidelines of the G 7 summit in Hiroshima and discussed a range of issues according to an official release.

During his meeting, with his Japanese counterpart, PM Modi discussed ways to synergise the efforts of their respective G-20 and G-7 presidencies and stressed the need to highlight the concerns and priorities of the Global South. He also thanked Kishida for planting the Bodhi sapling gifted by him in March 2023, in Hiroshima. The PM shared with Kishida that the Indian Parliament commemorates Hiroshima Day every year.
