Kohli applauds Suryakumar on maiden IPL century

Kohli, who is of late active on social media is constantly appreciating his other players for their performances

RCB opener and former captain Virat Kohli congratulated Mumbai Indians batter Suryakumar Yadav ( SKY) for scoring his maiden century in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) against Gujarat Titans on May 12 at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

Kohli, who is of late active on social media appreciating his playmates for their performances, showered his praise on the batsman with the caption,  ‘Tula Maanla Bhau’ (Hats off brother) on Instagram tagging the centurion.

During the match, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose to bowl against Mumbai Indians. Both the openers of MI were dismissed by Rashid Khan in the same over, but SKY took charge and got cracking by hitting boundaries and punishing the Gujarat bowling attack. The 32-year-old batter acored 103, filled with 11 fours and six maximums in 49 deliveries.

Kohli has earlier appreciated 21-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal for his record-breaking knock against Kolkata Knight Riders on May 11, 2023. The Rajasthan Royals batter scored the fastest-ever half-century in the history of the premier T20 competition. “Wow, this is some of the best batting I have seen in a while. What a talent Yashasvi Jaiswal,” Kohli wrote on social media.
