‘ModiAirways’ all set to fly diaspora to PM’s Sydney reception

The Indian community in Brisbane will also be traveling to the event via a bus dubbed Modi Express Coach

In anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi second official visit to Australia, the Indian diaspora in Melbourne has chartered a special flight named “Modi Airways” that will depart from Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport to Sydney, where the Prime Minister is scheduled to address a community reception on May 23, 2023.

According to previous reports, 20,000 from the diaspora had registered for the event, and the number has gone up since then. The Indian Australian Diaspora Foundation worked with Qantas Airways to charter the special flight.

The tickets on the sold-out plane were priced at AUD$ 249, for which travelers get an entry ticket to the Australia Welcomes Modi reception in Sydney, in-flight meals, Modi Airways merchandise, and a bus shuttle from Sydney airport to the event.

All roads lead to Sydney for the Indian community in Brisbane as well, and they are geared up to travel to the event by a bus dubbed Modi Express Coach. It will depart from Brisbane on May 22 at 10 p.m. and will return to its destination following the event on May 23.
