PM Modi meets leading Australian business leaders

PM Modi met with leading Australian business heads and invited to work with India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with leading Australian business heads and highlighted India’s credentials as one of the most preferred major economies for foreign investments in the world and called for enhancing cooperation with the Indian industry in areas such as technology, skilling and clean energy.  In his interaction, PM Modi invited Australian businesses to invest in India.

On the last leg of his three-nation visit, PM Modi reached Australia from Papua New Guinea on May 22, 2023. On May 23, in a series of meetings with business leaders, PM met with the executive chairman of Hancock Prospecting Group Gina Rinehart, executive chairman and founder of Fortescue Metals Group Andrew Forrest and chief executive officer of AustralianSuper Paul Schroder, according to a release.
