The first poster of the upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is out, reuniting Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh after 'Gully Boy.' The film's first look were revealed on director Karan Johar's birthday as it marks his directorial comeback after 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.'

The Indian filmmaker and television personality Johar released a string of four posters introducing the lead actors in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Introducing Ranveer Singh, Johar wrote, “An absolute ‘heartthrob’, who wears his own heart on his sleeve – meet Rocky!" The actor was seen with funky sunglasses, a gold chain and a studded leather jacket. Introducing the female lead Alia Bhatt, Johar wrote, “Ladies and gentlemen, the queen is here to steal your hearts - meet Rani!” She sported with a nose ring and a black bindi.

The film, set to release on July 28, 2023, is a romantic comedy written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy. Introduced in July 2021, the film is produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios. Music is composed by Pritam and the cinematography is by Manush Nandan in the film.

Johar also shared a behind-the-scenes video from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which featured Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan, who also play important roles in the film. The video also had glimpses from Johar's movies from his debut film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), My Name Is Khan (2010) and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016). Karan said, "Nothing but gratitude for the magical 25 years I have spent in the director’s chair. I learnt, I grew, I wept, I laughed - I lived."
